Terms and Conditions, Cancellations & Refund Policy
Workshops online & Face to face, Art Therapy Retreats, Art Therapy Sessions, and/or Supervision and Coaching Sessions online and Face-to-Face:

At Gestalt Art Therapy Centre, our mission is to offer the best services to clients by providing training, psychological attention, and coaching in a safe environment.

General Information:

Participation in any workshops, retreats, sessions, or supervision online and face to face, at Gestalt Art Therapy Centre means that you accept all the policy conditions referred to on this page.

It is not allowed to use the Gestalt Art Therapy Centre logo or the Arteterapia Gestalt logo under any circumstances without written permission from the Directors.

It is not permitted to post official certificates with the signatures of the Directors of the Gestalt Art Therapy Centre in public online spaces. You may share the “online certificate” that you will receive along with the official certificate (without signatures) in public online spaces.

Registration is per person, Online workshop: if more than one person will be at the workshop, at the same place (house, connection) the other person must be registered and paid the workshop fees.

If you are in psychological treatment, please contact us to discuss your participation.

Any person whose behaviour is disrespectful will be expelled from participation without the right to economic reimbursement or participation in the workshop or future workshops.

Leaders of the workshop and Directors of the Gestalt Art Therapy Centre are not responsible for the inappropriate use of the contents of the workshop, or any emotional situation derived from participating in the workshop. Although leaders will support participants in any emotional sharing. It is important to remember that this workshop is not personal therapy.

We are not GST registered. Participants will receive a receipt of their payment

The workshop will be in the English language, participants must speak English to be able to participate.

To receive your certificate, you must complete the feedback form. If you did not attend the live workshop and received access to the recorded event, you must also complete the required workshop activities, which will be sent to you via email.

It is important to us to know your opinion to improve our events. Also, it is a requirement from some associations as proof of your participation in the workshop.

Art Therapy Sessions, Supervisions & Coaching face-to-face:

A registration form must be completed before sessions. Payments should be completed before the session or within one day after the session. Failure to do so may result in legal issues, additional charges, and ineligibility for future supervision.

If an appointment is cancelled 24 hours before the session, you may choose another time (no charge). If the cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the session, you will be charged 50% of the fee and will need to arrange a new appointment and payment.

Recording therapy sessions, supervision sessions, workshops, free events, retreats, or any other online or face-to-face events conducted by Yaro Starak and Gemma Garcia and collaborators, without their explicit permission is strictly prohibited. This includes audio, video, and any form of digital or physical recording. Unauthorised recording is a violation of privacy and intellectual property laws and will result in legal consequences, including potential legal action and penalties. Participants must respect the confidentiality and proprietary content of these sessions and events to ensure a safe and ethical environment for all involved.

Art Therapy Sessions, Supervisions & Coaching (Online):

A registration form must be completed before sessions. Payments should be completed before the session or within one day after the session. Failure to do so may result in legal issues, additional charges, and ineligibility for future supervision.

Clients must ensure that their systems (PC, tablet, phone, Skype, WhatsApp, Google Meet) are functioning properly before each session. If communication is not possible due to the client’s failure to check systems before the session, the session will be classified as done and must be paid for. If the client wishes to have a session, a new booking and payment will be required.

Recording therapy sessions, supervision sessions, workshops, free events, retreats, or any other online or face-to-face events conducted by Yaro Starak and Gemma Garcia and collaborators, without their explicit permission is strictly prohibited. Face to face Workshops Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel your participation 30 days or more before the start of the workshop, the Organizers (Gestalt Art Therapy Centre) will refund 50% of the total amount paid. The remaining 50% will be charged to cover administrative costs.

If you cancel your participation less than 30 days before the start of the workshop, there will be no refund. Unfortunately, in these circumstances, there will be no exchange for any other products or another workshop day(s).

The workshop may be postponed (face-to-face format) if there are not a minimum of participants.

Online Workshops:

If you cancel your participation less than 72 hours before the day of the workshop, there is no refund or credit, and the payment will be forfeited.

Participants are required to have the necessary materials to participate in the workshop. If you cancel due to a lack of materials, the payment will not be refunded. The list of required materials will be available on the website and in emails sent before the event.

To receive your certificate for CPD points, we will send you a feedback form and ask you to complete the feedback, watch the recorded event, and complete the activities proposed during the recorded workshop. You will need to send us your reflections on the activities along with photos of your creations (for example Collage, drawings, etc).

Online events: The event will be recorded and shared with other participants and future customers. Participating in this event means that you give us permission to use the recording in a public way and/or distribute the content with other participants and/ or social media, without any kind of claim.

If a live online event does not proceed due to not meeting the minimum number of participants, you will have two options- 1- If the workshop is scheduled to be repeated, you can choose to rebook for the next live session or receive the recording. 2- If the workshop will not be repeated, you will automatically receive the recording. In this case, we will inform you and provide access to the webinar recording via email within 15 days.

Access to the recording will be available for six months from the date of purchase. This policy ensures participants still receive valuable content while allowing organizers to manage event logistics efficiently.

Recording our events in any form is strictly prohibited. Failure to comply may result in appropriate action.

Sharing event links, such as Zoom links, and/or event content (including handouts, recordings, PDFs, and extra information) with others is strictly prohibited. Access and use are strictly limited to the registered participant for private use only. Failure to comply with this policy may result in legal action. Additionally, we have systems in place to identify unauthorized access or use by non-authorized individuals.

In an online workshop, participants must have the video turned on all the time of the workshop. (A blank image of a photo is not allowed). Also, participants must turn off their microphone/sound. At the end of the workshop at the time of questions, participants can ask to talk, and the moderator will permit the questions and/or via chat. Chat will not be allowed between participants; the objective of the chat is to ask questions only at the end of the workshop. Participants not following these indications will cancel their participation without any economic refund or reschedule of the workshop due to not following the rules.
​​Online Training Cancellation Policy:

Once an online course (short or long) has been paid for and the participant has received the course or part of it online, no refund is possible.

The use of any content from Gestalt Art Therapy Centre, Gemma Garcia, and/or Yaro Starak for profit and economic exploitation (like using the material to offer similar training, workshops, and webinars) is prohibited unless authorized in writing by the course authors. Failure to comply with this policy may result in legal action.

All content of the website and/or courses is the intellectual property of the authors Gemma Garcia and Yaro Starak and is protected by copyright. Any illegal activity will be reported to the relevant authorities and may result in financial penalties.

Gemma Garcia and Yaro Starak are not responsible for the misuse of materials and/or knowledge acquired by course participants. It is the responsibility of each participant to use this knowledge ethically.

Gestalt Art Therapy Centre and its directors, Gemma Garcia and Yaro Starak, do not grant officially accredited certificates to course participants (whether in person or online) to qualify or practice as Gestalt Therapists, Art Therapists, and/or Psychologists

This policy aims to ensure that participants are aware of the potential for "Live online event" cancellations and the conditions related to refunds and rescheduling. The policy also clarifies the organizers' commitment to providing content to participants even if a live event is cancelled.

Art Therapy Retreats Cancellation Policy:

If you cancel your participation more than 90 days before the start of the Art Therapy retreat, and if the Organizers have not yet paid your accommodation and catering fees to the Venue, the Organizers will charge 50% of the paid fee to cover administrative costs and refund you 50% of the total payment. Bank and/or PayPal commissions are not included in any refund.

If you cancel your participation less than 90 days before the start of the Art Therapy retreat, due to unforeseen circumstances, including illness or COVID-19, no refund will be issued to cover accommodation reservations and administrative fees.

The retreat organizers reserve the right to change the dates and venue of the retreat if necessary, with prior notice to participants. The organizers will not be held responsible for any circumstances affecting participants as a result of these changes.

​​Gift Card Policies: Cancellation and Refund:
Non-Refundable: All gift card purchases are final. Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other forms of payment.
Non-Transferable: Gift cards are issued to the original purchaser and/or recipient and cannot be transferred to another individual.
Cancellation: Gift cards cannot be canceled once issued, as they are considered a completed sale.
Validity Period: Gift cards are valid for use only during the specified timeframe (e.g., through the end of 2025). Any remaining balance after the expiration date will be forfeited.
Partial Usage: If the gift card amount does not cover the full cost of a product, service, or event, the remaining balance must be paid by the participant. Any unused balance on the gift card will remain valid within the expiration period.
Lost or Stolen Cards: We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or unauthorized use of gift cards.

COVID-19 and Flu Season:
To ensure the safety of all patients and counsellors, and in alignment with the Australian Government Health Department’s guidelines, please be aware of the following protocols for face-to-face sessions:

Pre-session Requirements:
Temperature Checks: Before each session, all participants will have their temperature checked. If a participant has a fever (37°C or higher), cough, sore throat, or shortness of breath, they will not be admitted to the session, and it will be rescheduled.
Government Guidance on COVID-19:
Testing Positive: If you test positive for COVID-19, you must reschedule your session. Please follow the advice from Queensland Health regarding the necessary steps to take.

Close Contact:
If you are identified as a close contact, you must have a negative COVID-19 test on the day of the session.
You are required to wear a mask during the session.
If you test positive, please reschedule your session.

Important Notice:

Workshop Content and Confidentiality: During the workshop, we will not conduct therapy sessions for participants. All workshop content and information shared by participants are private and confidential.

Respect and Conduct: Our policy emphasizes total respect for all participants. Any participant displaying disrespectful behavior will be asked to leave the event (online and /or face to face) without a refund or credit for another event.

Disclosure Policy: Following our disclosure policy, if we believe that you or another person is at risk, we will report the situation.

Psychological Treatment: If you are undergoing psychological treatment, please contact us to discuss your participation.

No refunds are available. With some events, Vouchers may be issued, but previous confirmation with the Directors is required.

Bank Transfers: If you choose to pay via bank transfer, your bank account details will be used solely for the purpose of processing your payment and will not be shared with any third parties.

PayPal: If you choose to pay via PayPal, your payment information will be processed through PayPal’s secure platform. We do not store your PayPal account details on our systems.
5. Disclosure of Personal Information
Gestalt Art Therapy Centre does not sell, trade, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties, except as required by law or as necessary to provide our services. We may disclose your information if:
